I was checking out my 7 pole plug today, all my poles check out except left turn.

I pulled the flat 4 pole plug apart (underneath that feeds it). I have voltage on the truck side. I test continuity from the other half of the plug to the receiver pole, good continuity.

I hook it back up, no voltage. Both the contacts in the plug seem as sturdy as all the rest.

Do I need more coffee?? What am I missing? How can I have continuity and no voltage. No more time to test, I have to get to work.

Who wants to tell me how I am being stupid? :) The wire does go through a little plastic connector on its way to the receiver, but how could I have continuity without voltage? :mad2:

I dont think so. I checked the voltage on the truck side using the ground pin in the receiver, so it should be the same ground.

I will double check the ground... but right turn works. It pulses voltage off the same ground, and everything else shows the correct voltage.

That would leave the connector to my logic. I do not see how that connector is not making contact though.
