Cleaning Old Craftsman Sockets

What would you guys use to get rust off old Craftsman Sockets.

There still good just have some rust on them that isn't really to bad.
 
they may warranty them. check the store, rust is usually comprimising to the integrity of the sockets strength. they may have since changed this policy, but it used to be.
 
let them soak in some acid.it dulls the finish but gets rid of the rust.i find it hard to rub a collection of sockets with steel wool but it does work.im not sure how potent the acid i use is tho,its the stuff we use to detail cars so it cant be too harsh.
 
That's what that stands for. Been in the Military 9yrs and have never asked nor heard of anyone calling it Clean Lubricate and Protect Firearms.
 
My dad collects antique tools. I believe he puts rusty stuff in vinegar. But I'm with stacks04. Take 'em in and see if they'll give you a new one.
