I'm looking for tires for my MTD 995:

27x9.50-15 rear
18x6.50-8NHS front

I don't care if they are a little larger, or even a lot larger, as long as the tractor still turns them and I can still steer.

I found this reference of common sizes for the MTD:
215/75/15 = 27.7” x 8.5”
225/70/15 = 27.4” x 8.9”
225/75/15 = 28.3” x 8.9”
235/75/15 = 29.0” x 9.3”
245/75/15 = 29.5” x 9.6”
255/75/15 = 30.0” x 10.0”
265/75/15 = 30.6” x 10.4”

But, I don't know how to reference the sizes to a nice lug pattern.

I'm considering finding some used 235/75/15's and getting tire chains if I can't find another resource.

Where do you guys get your tires?

I have bought tires at Northern tool and Ebay. I bought BKT tires off ebay for my '72 Ford 2000 tractor and they have been ok for several years now. Hard to buy top shelf tires as they would be near 1/3 to 1/2 the value of the ratty old tractor that works better than it looks.
