My Sis just Called and told me her CEL just came on. So since I'm not there, I told her to take it to Autozone and have them Scan it.

She has Codes: P0495 and P0128.

Here's the Kicker...she's 220 Miles away from her Place, and needs to get back.

She just had the Fan Clutch Replaced before she left for her Trip, so these CEL's I Feel are Related to that Job.

Basically, is the Truck Safe enough to Drive those 200 Miles so she can get back Home, and get the Truck to the Shop that did the Work?

The CEL is just on Solid, it's not Blinking, so it's not a Serious Problem.

The OP says P0495, that dtc refers to the electric cooling fan clutch. The P0128 is usually a sticking thermostat. With both setting after a fan clutch replacement, they might have left the connector off or not fully seated. She should be ok driving it, just watch the engine temp closely.

495 is a cooling fan rpm difference. the other is a coolant temp sensor code.

basically the maf is used to calc the amount of air that has entered the engine to determine if the temp reading is accurate. the pcm has detected an odd reading at the temp sensor.

my bet is the ect sensor is either broken or unplugged. and the harness on the fan clutch is fubared or unplugged. those clutches are a pia to do. i would not drive it home with out getting it looked at.

Light on = problem is present. Flashing light means engine damage from misfire. So flashing SES means don't drive.

Who did the fan clutch? Nationwide warranty? You can find the replacement clutches for around $50.00 take off from Super Sport owners who go electric. Ask for one on tbssowners.com

The locked in fan will suck fuel like no tomorrow. P0495 = Cooling Fan High Speed. Fan clutch bearings have locked up or valve stuck open. Fan is running too much but cooling the engine.

You are ok to drive it - as the fan is locked up. Keep the engine speed below 3000 RPM at all times or the fan belt will scream as it slips on the WP pulley from the fan load.
