So i have been reading about people cracking or breaking there housing on the tranfers cases. So i looked into it a bit more, suncoast makes a bracket for over $200.00. But after looking at it didnt look to hard to make myself so i did. So here's what i did.
You can do it your own way or change some stuff, this just looked like it would be the E-Z way to do it.
I started by making some ears off of the transfer case, using the top 2 holes. Putting a plate behind it so it would not just pull on the bolts but also the case. 1/4 steel

Then made some ears off the transmission. 1/4 steel

Once i had those in place, i took 2-1/4 x 1 1/2 x 13 1/2 of flat steel and ran them from one side to the other, and tack'd them in place while it was still on the truck.

Then unbolted it and removed it, made some 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 gussets and tack'd them in place to keep the ears from moving, and also to stiffen when its on the truck.

Welded it all up.

Then i took a piece of 1/4 x 2 and welded it on the tranny side of things to stiffen it and keep it from twisting.

Couple coats of black paint and ready to be put back on. The bolts on the transfer case i put some loctite on because they had some on when i took them out. The transmission bolts i put some lock washers on to keep them from wanting to come loose.

And that it is
Spent about $10 on steel that i got from work.
Sorry about how some of the welds look but i only got a flux core w/o gas welder at home, and i cant make them look pretty with that thing.
I think in the long run this will help, And for only spending $10 and about 3 hours of work its good insurance.
If any one wants to give comments on how to improve this, or tell their way, let me know.
