Hey all,

Figured I would give an update, dad sent me over into colorado to cover an auction, bought a tractor for a buddy, and I couldnt resist, and dad said he was good for 1100, so for 950 bucks, I made him the owner of a new truck!

It is an 84 or 85 C3500 Chassis cab, 6.2L 4spd 2wd DRW, single fuel tank, my favorite color: white( white original, with shitty white re-paint), rotted cab corners, and a little hole in the floor, and holes in the inner fenders. but, the fenders, doors, and rockers are fine.
It's low geared, need to get a tach to see how badly. I fueled it up, and I think there is a hole somewhere in the filler neck, front blinkers dont work as marker lights, etc.
One front rim is bent to crap on the bead, but luckily we have 3 exact spare wheels aquired a while back at another auction. has 215/85R16s, and to deal with the low gears it will likely get 235/85R16s.
Has a nice frame mount 2 inch receiver hitch. Very clean underhood wiring, motor has usual slight oilyness, new oil cooler lines (hyd hose) and new batteries (everstart maxx's that are way too big for the trays) this summer, reads 80K miles, IDK if there is another 100 to add to that or not.

fresh true dual exhaust that cackles when leaned into hard. Left pipe spits a little smoke, IDK if sloppy injector or a more major issue, It doesnt have much for blowby, so I think its healthy.

It has a pretty decent Reading 11ft service body with liftgate and ladder rack.

unfortuantely I didnt notice the extent of the rust (floorpan mostly, hidden by floormat, did notice the inner fenders and cab corners prior to sale) till after I bought it, but hopefully It will serve for a while before needing re-done. It will likely be taken to idaho and left there, where it will be the summertime service truck for the small time custom harvest crew we run, so the single fuel tank and being diesel fueled will be good for how much it will sit.
The vo-tech in Idaho is much better than the one here, so maybe in the off season we could get it ran through and get better paint and get sheetmetal repairs.

here is the sale bill, note, the truck looks way worse close up. :) http://www.flockauctions.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/April-consignment-Webpage.pdf

no pics posted yet. I forgot to put some up. will try to get some up tuesday, as I am busy as heck for sun. and mon. I gotta play with the equipment, and hope the rattlebox NV4500 doesnt grenade in the process. stuff isnt good when 5th gear OD is the only quiet gear!
