I agree, it isn't the bike's fault, it is the rider and inexperience that is the problem, I will agree with Berk tho, The Goverment needs to stay out of this and let the insurance folks deal with it, As time goes by it is going to get expensive to insure a bike, this will hurt the Noobs hard as well as some seasoned riders, The accident occured on a divided 4 lane hiway, posted speed is 60 mph, he was showing off in front of his Dad and there isn't anything the Dad can do.....20 something young man who thinks he can ride a bullet to hell and survive. When my son wanted a bike, I co signed for him Ninja 650, small enough to throttle out of trouble and hopefully he doesn't speed so that he will get into trouble, he has seen the aftermath of stupidity and I hope the keeps the fear.
