i just got a 75 gallon bed tank, the PO had a bed tank but kept it, but the pump is still there, and he had it plumbed into the fill hose by using a T to have the pump, pump from the bed tank into the fill hose, just as if i was filling the tank at a station?

what affects would that have considering the tank cap will still be screwed in?

or do i have to unscrew the cap before "filling up"

i was kinda looking for a "on the go fuel transfer" if you will...

what do you guys think? safe? im not to sure whats going on in there with vac or pressure from the fuel return lines and the LP pulling fuel

GMCTD's post about venting has me confused now, more than ever..

I've got mine plummed in with a ball valve leaving the ball valve open all the time. Haven't had any problem with it and it's been two years. Just make sure you don't open the fuel cap with the ball valve open and the gauge reading full or you will have a mess. Also make sure you have a good fuel cap. And make sure the auxillary tank has a good vent on it.

Mine is like you say, a switch on the fly, it has a solenoid spliced into the fuel line a little before the LP, so mine doesn't refill my stock tank, it just uses one tank or the other. And the stock fuel guage changes depending on which I have selected.

I like it, but I bought the truck that way
