I am looking at full time rv'ing and was wondering if my 2001 lb7 3500 CC L/B Duallie pull up to 16,000#. Have a Superchip, Mbrp dual exhaust 4" w/5" tips, Afe cold intake, firestone air ride, prodigy trailer brake. Please chime in and do let me know your options or advice on any other accessories to add. It does not have gauges yet but will before I even think about getting trailer. Truck just had injectors replaced 16,000 miles ago and truck only has 98,800 miles now. I bought it when injectors were put in, bought truck first day it was on the lot. All about the timing. Truck used to be fully loaded with gauges, lift pump, Edge, but chevy dealership took many of the aftermarket stuff off(?) not all though.

Thank You in advance & Merry Christmas to all,
Jim

I have seen duramax trucks pulling those 40' plus toy haulers.

I see no problem with you pulling that amount of weight.

What does your truck say the max weight it can pull is?

Marty,
Thanks for answering back and Merry Christmas. It will pull 15,500 stock, which I am better suited with aftermarket to pull a bit more and not willing to pull the guts out of it. My question was more in line of full time rving pulling that amount of weight (16,000#) six to eight months out of the year. Our plan is actually to research an area want to be and stay a month before we travel to another location. Truck is in excellent condition, and with the dreaded injectors being replaced when I bought it. Truck seemed that it would be the answer to my needs.

Thanks
Jim

Imo you will need a lift pump and gauges. It wouldn't hurt to install a transgo valve body either.

I pull heavier than that in my 06 LBZ but it has taken it toll on my tranny (high heat and bad edge tunes) and cp3 fuel pump w/o a lift pump.
