A-Team turbocharger 0-85mph run just for fun. Nothing to fancy. Just thought maybe you guys would enjoy a video. Sorry about bad video quality.

Yeah. I am for sure going to get a dyno video. But I desperately need new injectors first. I am waiting for some money to get in though. As soon as I can get new injectors I am going to put her on the dyno. Mine are at about 150K miles and they are definately starting to show it.

It's pretty amazing what one of these 6.5's with an ATT will do...

If I hadn't driven Turbine Docs truck, I would have never believed it...

I had a 94' 6.5 and if it would have run/driven like Tim's, I would probably still have it today...

It use to first start up and run just fine but lately when it first starts up, it acts like it's "missing" on a cylinder and smokes pretty bad until it warms up a bit. Then it is fine. And it just seems to smoke a lot all things considered. And max boost was about 10-11psi unloaded. EGT's crept up to about 1100* but in all fairness I was on a slight uphill grade going flat out. Usual EGT's never exceed 900*-1000* during hilly driving. It still had some room to clear up some of the soot at wide open throttle at 10psi. And with that kind of miles on the injectors it's what also helps me think that is the problem. The previous owner did nothing but tow with it so the injectors have had a pretty hard life. I have literaly replaced every component but the injectors. They are due

I was just wondering what your #'s were so I had something to base mine off of. I am setting my 93 cab and chasis (in my avatar) up as a test truck, I dont have an ATT yet $$$ but the others are in the barn. Mine hits 1400 (easily) now with gm3 and 20ish # of boost, I would like to get 20psi out of the ATT on a tow rig.

Mine has early 2000 GM Goodwrench heads but not sure when they were put on mileage wise, 236K on the rest of the rig.

Those EGT numbers may be a bit higher than what it would be anywhere else though. I think when I get new injectors that atomize the fuel better that my EGT's will go down as well since it isn't just dumping wasted fuel in. But all things considered she does good as is. I towed a 9000 pound trailer with it as is now and it towed fine. EGT's were at around 1000-1100* when I did it, and boost was up to around 13-14psi. Not bad for a 6000 pound truck towing a 9000 pound trailer

The is a really good video. Seriously.

I was seeing 1400 easy with the GM3 on the 1993. Now I have a hard time getting it over 1100 with the ATT and more so with B99. I have the 6.5 NA precups so it may make a difference. I also get 17-18 PSI of boost. (The 1995 with the DS4 and 6.2 NA military precups is a different insane EGT story.) Of course I don't think EGT's of 1400 depending on ECT and timing will hurt anything. However 1550 will singe the turbo blanket... :reddevil: Ask Buddy about that sometime.

Funny thing is the boost is higher after it shifts by 2 PSI and stays there. Almost like 1st isn't loading it enough.

The automatic just motors through second and like the video above has power in the upper RPM range! So glad I don't have the GM3 choke up there that I find myself driving the 1993 more over the Duramax. What Can I say it is the extended cab...

I would drive my 93 because its the Flat bed AND i dont wanna rack up more miles than i have to on the Dmax. Kinda hard to argue with the Dmax Crew Cab and nice leather seats though.

I'm thinking about running an innercooler on my 93. I already know the WHC1 is gonna be too small and the Banks just came in yesterday (bought in our classifieds) and it looks alil small too but should be good on my buddies 6.2 when i'm done. I need to pull my tractors HX40 (real hx 40 with 6000hrs on it) and get the specs so I can figure out what the next size up would be so the 8.3 can breath better.

I don't find my EGT's really in what I consider to be dangerous territory but I still do aim at all times to stay below 1000* unless I absolutely have to do something to cause it to go higher.
