Have been a lurker from the Wrecker list, thought I would check in here, am on a few diesel sites and don't post much.
I did have an 01 duramax which I really liked but after three shoulder surgeries the last one a joint replacement for the wife had to sell the Duramax. Ah well
Had a few old 6.2s and was going to put one in the Grandsons 77 he is 14 now so got some time.
Then the 98 came up at an auction it had the crew cab I wanted and a farmer friend wanted the service bed for his v10 dodge so we made a deal :D
I put the bed on his truck and the 98 had a bad exhaust valve redid that then the throwout bearing decided to go south after we got it back together but the 6.5 ran well after the air was bled out and it smoothed out happy dance!
Was going to flat bed it but ran across a bed on the C list for 150 dollars that was just to good a deal to pass on bumper bolts plug and play another happy dance.
I like the information and sharing of such on the list so may not post much but will be around so please be kind to the lurkers in the shadows!):h

Curt,

Welcome, if you need some veggie in Boise, let me know. This site has the greatest collection of 6.5 expert in the world. (I'm not objective.)

Thanks for the veggie offer have a bit here in Ontario and make Biodiesel out of mine. Although my pickup route is a bit further than a trip to Boise, getting to be a bit of a chore anymore started out with a Son in Law but wound up doing the solo thing, funny how all that FREE oil loses it's shine when the work actually starts:eek:
Like your goodies will have to get some bigger lines later on. What kind of transfer pump do you use?

Thanks so much.

If you are in my area and need veg I usually have oil around that has been settled don't usually screen it till ready to process, but I do run it through a 80 mesh screen into a 100 mesh into a 60 micron oberg, and do have a big 25 micron hydraulic filter I use at times, used it when the son in law ran veg for a while.
If you are in my area give me some notice and I can give you directions and numbers.
