I guess I've officially got myself into a project. I'm going to use this thread as a way to keep up with all my other threads for the trucks modifications and some minor mods too.

At the moment the plan is to get Da Boss on the road ASAP so i can fix my dmax as time and funds permit.

Mods to be done at this time are:
1. Rebuilt tranny
2. Built Kevlar Clutch
3. New Glow plugs (have a set of 60g's on hand)
4. Bruces GP wires and Battery Cables
5. WH1C, needs new wastegate actuator (lets se who gets their tranny and wh1c installed first, Me or dieselslug!)
6. K47 out of my 95 w/ Amsoil filter
7. Permanantly start mounting my gauges (i have one for nearly everything)
8. Walbro FRB5 and relay (might wait until after running and the dmax is in the shop)

I might be forgeting a few things but yall will find out as they happen.

It started first try after sitting over 6 months, just trickle charged the batteries a couple hours each and she blew smoke.

I would post pics of the nastiness but my internet sucks and i spent 4 hours loading them, hit post, and it froze and lost that part of the page. I will get them in an album later.

Got the inner fender pulled and a few other things but forgot to drink that water stuff and got dizzy and sick. Didnt feel right all day yesterday so i didnt get much done, had meeting all morning today, now i'm gonna be out all night doing hay and am using my only down time for some rest.

I might throw in some injectors soon too as well as a mechanical 4x4 actuator, i'm getting tired of replacing the stupid heat actuated ones every 2 months.

Well I'm finally in the wrenching mood again. Last time I worked on this truck I literally got burned out.

I pulled all of the glows and got a mix of autolites, 11G's, and 9G's. Replaced with 60G's

Started tracing wires Glow plug wires and separating them from the rest of the mess so i can get my PTWS Glow harness in and then my PTWS Battery cables

Also pulled my turbo (original GM3 with baling wire mod) and am thinking of throwing my banks sidewinder on until funds shape up. GM3 is leaking oil into intake and out exhaust, couldnt tell with my under bed dump but when i dropped my DP to do glows it was really oily inside. No wonder it used 1qt/100 miles...

Finally gave up and called Bruce about why my instructions dont match my truck and got the info I needed to get things back in place. WIRES DONE.

Drilled a hole in my EX manifold for EGT, I was using a bung in my scrap down pipe before. started laying out gauges. I bought a box of gauges from 635 awhile back and I'm trying to find the ones I want to put in for now. Ordered an A Pillar 3 gauge so I dont have the EGT and Boost taped to my dash anymore. Looking for options for other mounting. Want EGT, Boost, Fuel Press now but I have one for everything but backpressure.

Injectors are on their way to constega (moose labs) finally, funds slowed up for awhile.

Where to order a luk clutch, SM flywheel, and slave? I also want a bushing for the input instead of the bearing, any help there? My input looks good and I want to keep it that way. Any parts I might need that arent included in most kits?

Next ATT and let her smoke!

Well I finally picked back up on this after 2yrs of financial hardship. Been a rough go of it.

Sending this to Conestoga for the bull moose treatment and using an ATT and qsv. Also am sending 2 sets of injectors

Might be a couple weeks before its back running due to cash flow, shipping, and rebuild time but its under way.

Thanks, I'm anxious to get to driving this again. Been down well over 2yrs.

Trying to save the brunt of the $$$ by avoiding core charges

I understand financial limitations all to well, but they sure can make a guy creative. :hihi: Glad to hear your back to work on it, and a Bull Moose with an ATT with a QSV! Thats going to be wicked.

Matt

It was on the lot 2 days, I passed in favor of fixing my fleet and getting my wife something more economical.

Also bought 160acres and am in limbo on building a house.

Tanner, if you decide to build a house, LMK. We own the DirectBuy franchise in the Twin Cities up here, looks like the nearest one to you is in Tulsa. We could save you a boatload on everything...

We have 5 contractors in my family. I will tell my dad to check the prices, worth looking into.

I never was around the construction contracting much, my dad didn't start until the last couple years so my roll in that has been pretty small.
