a friends dad has an 86 K30 6.2 crew cab silverado SRW with 160000 it has a flat bed, a new tranny last winter, and a comes with a plow he is going to repaint it and he is asking $3000

what i am wondering is how hard is it to find interior parts? the dash is cracked and it looks like a 24yr old truck. i have always wanted a 80,s crew cab and now im hooked on these motors so this one makes it even better but will need some work to restore it

iv changed my mine iv looked at a few others even found another 86 with the 6.2 and the guy wanted 2500 and body was trash interior even worse than this one and no plow. i talked to brad the owner of truck i am ganna buy and he is getting all the rust fixed and the whole truck painted black and he still only wants 3g with the plow so im thinkin its ganna be a sweet deal. now to find a box to put on and someone to buy the flat bed????? call some local guys and they got fust free beds outa texas and they want around 900 for them which is what i paid for a bed on my old 92 so i guess that aint to bad. any one got one they wanna sell?

looks like im makin a trip up north be good reson to go hunt that land my uncles been wantin me to got a name of where you got it

You could buy a CUCV for less than 900$ and cut it up for parts. Sometimes you can fin a 2wd truck cheap too which usually are not rusty as they have not been plowed.

Just a private guy off of Craigslist....Me and the buddies drove down by Madison with the goosneck and loaded it up ourselves, and trucked her on home!

The "Down South" parts dealers tend to have way too high of prices.

i was told tonight that the truck should be home from the body shop tomorrow so hope fully im ganna be able to check it out and if i can scrounge up the money for this and fixing my other one (prolly ganna get a loan, it will be good for my credit) im ganna get it hope to get some pic when i check it out

LMC is a great place to get almost anything you could want.

I was cruising their site yesterday looking for some little tid bits for the Blazer.

ya i got the catalog and the other day and it will be helpfull. only trouble im having now is where to get the funds to get this truck and fix mine.

well it finnaly came back from the body shop. he desided to paint it the original color of white instead of changing it to black. they didnt fix all the rust but i think they treated what they didnt cut out. the interior is still pretty ruff but to me it just looks so dang good i wish i could talk him down a little like to 2500. but then again that flat bed was just put on and the tranny was new last winter, fresh paint, and comes with a plow. 160,000 on 6.2 pretty sure its been cared for well. plowed there drive for a lot of years though
