Hey all,

I'm having some issues with my car, a 1991 Camaro RS convertible, with the setting up a trailer wiring harness. My trailer has a 4 flat and the car needs to be a 5 wire because it has stand alone turn signals. I wired the car up with a 5 to 4 pin harness (Hopkins #48915), and using my trouble shooting light to verify, everything works as it should. Trailer markers work, brakes work. My problem is, when I turn on my turn signals, the trailer lights are faint , both sides appear to flash, and the flasher speed is faster than it should be. The car rear turn signal light is faint as well. But if I apply the brakes while using a turn signal, everything works as it should. I'm stumped.

The trailer lights work fine with two other vehicles I own so I don't believe it the trailer lights that are acting up. Also using incandescent bulbs in car and trailer. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks in advance.
