I've got a 93 model 4L80e 2wd and I'm going to adapt it to 4wd.

This tail housing: Extension Housing, 4L80E 4x4 (2 5/8" Long) Aluminum (Cast # 15724251) https://www.wittrans.com/SchematicParts.aspx?Transmission=4L80E&LinkCode=770

This output shaft: Output Shaft, 4L80E 4x4 (5" Long)(With Lube Hole) 1991-96 https://www.wittrans.com/SchematicParts.aspx?Transmission=4L80E&LinkCode=678

I talked to a guy at advanced adapters and he said that should be all I'd need to adapt the 4L80e to my np241 transfer that's in an 89' model V2500 Suburban.

Does all this make sense to ya'll? Anything I'm missing? The transfer case has a VSS in it so I shouldn't need the reluctor in the output shaft of the transmission.

I talked to my transmission guy and he said he'd swap everything out for $75. And charge me at cost for any and all misc gaskets and seals he'll need.

Looks right to me. If your going in that far you have to remove everything in the trans, might as well get new clutches, seals....Rebuild?

It's a GM Reman with 20,000 on it. But yeah I'll most likely get him to go through it all while he's in.

I'm glad you responded, I was going to PM you earlier today but forgot. I'm still working on gathering everything up for this project. Trying to do this all in sequence to keep from wasting time or money.

Once I get the transmission taken care of I'll get the TCM from you. Either your used one or a new one, doesn't matter to me.

OK thanks. I've got the OptiShift advertized in a package deal, but will seperate it out if you want. I can get brand new also (on my web site)
