Nope. Same 1/2 ton junk that's in the civilian model except the civilan have better gears. 3:42s. Now if those were out of a M1008(pickup) then we'd be talkin...
I really hate c clip rears. No fun when the whole wheel axle and all falls off the truck driving down the road. Been there, done that.

My blazer has the 3.08s. Any blazer i've seen, even the ones in the junkyard, all said 3.08s on the RPO listing. :confused:
 
I'm willing to bet yours had 3.42s and it blew and they swapped in 3.08s. 3.42s are hard to come by. 1/2 ton diffs don't last long. Pure junk.
 
In the CUCV's it's nessicary with the TH400. IN gassers it was no biggie. was extremly common in older Blazers all the way back to 1st gen.

Sticker in the glove box says 3.08s. I know the rear dif's been swapped out since it's a 12 bolt. stock they were 10 bolts. Mine has a 12 bolt rear and 10 bolt front now.
 
well thanks to Dave the IP is in and the truck don't run half bad. It's got some blowby but for 330K miles it's not that bad. One down, one to go.

Can't wait to hear the burb fire up. The pictures don't do it justice. It's clean.
 
Sucks it's gonna rain tonight and I can't finish it but then again I took the big truck to work today and got DOT'ed again and I didn't even have any delieveries, just nothing to drive. WE REALLY NEED THAT SUICIDE SMILEY...If it wasn't for my kid...BANG !!
