So far so good! I have been taking short trips to heat cycle them, not suppose to really get on them for the first 300 miles or so according to Baer.
I can however already feel a more responsive feel to them though.

Its a resonator for noise basically. You can remove and use a 2" pipe plug to fill it. You can find the pipe plug at any standard hardware store in the PCV section of plumbing...
With the truck idling in park turn on and off some accesories (headlights, a/c etc.) the voltage draw from those should change the pitch of the whine if its the alternator....
Alternator - especially if it whines when you accelerate. If it was/is the power steering the whine would change tone when you turn the wheels back and forth due to increased load on the pump.
Check your voltage gauge, see if it has gone down or if it fluctuates when you drive...
The easiest and quickest way to find your leak would be to get your hands on a cooling system pressure tester. It is basically a hand pump that you put in place of your radiator cap and then pump pressure into the cooling system. Once you pump air pressure into the system it will quickly find...
No Im not saying that, if you buy it at Best Buy and end up not liking it you can always return it and get your money back. The only reason I am pushing the PAC unit is because it is what worked best for me, however the Peripheral may be a better unit. If the peripheral is getting good feedback...
