When my IP started going bad I couldn't get the truck to hold a steady rpm above idle while in park. The RPM would run away uncontrolled with the smallest throttle movement.
In addition the cruise control also couldn't hold a steady speed on the highway. As I understood it this was due to the...
I'm also wondering about your sustained EGT temps this summer. Any further thoughts on how he might keep these down? I'll be pulling a 28foot camper real soon and my be looking at the same kind of situation. Do you just back off the throttle and get into the slow lane while the gassers pass us...
I guess that would be important... Sorry.
I believe it's the 4L80E. I've looked once before and then forgot. One of those "Oh, okay. then flush" moments. Isn't there a way of telling by looking at the VIN code? Sorry for being unprepaired when asking this.
So where does the factory put the transmission temp sending unit? I thought I read there was a port with a plug in it somewhere on the trans you can't see where they would put it normally. Help please...
So I've got a 4" exhaust system arriving this week and I figure while I'm at it I'll put an EGT gauge in it. Qustion is though where? In the turbo down pipe? In the exhaust manifold? Where the turbo and the exhaust sections met? Thoughts?
So I was considering putting a remote start on my truck. It’s something I usually start thinking about every year when it starts getting cold. I went by a local auto shop where they tint windows, install custom wheels, stereo systems, alarm systems, remote starts and other general stuff. I asked...
I know this doesn't have anything to do with th melted PMD but I thought I remembered some telling me once that the optical sensor for the oil pressure sending unit could cause a no start condition. Would/could this be a possibility and would it give you a code if it was acting up?
Just...
My fuel milage was around 14mpg. :rolleyes5: I hate to admit it because some are going to assume my IP was destroyed by the wvo, but I had several symptoms of a worn IP and just had it changed last week. I let everyone know if the milage changes, which I suspect it's going to. Here are a list of...
It can get pretty cold here but not as harsh as about half a state north of us. Seems like Indy is the geographical cut off in Indiana. We are also in what is called the Ohio Valley. I have yet to figure out if this is a good thing or bad. I know it's hell for people with alergies.
