I think with the lack of lube on the pilot bushing caused it to wear bad. This allowed the input shaft to drop a little and bind up the clutch disc which is now destroyed.

What about someone like edelbrock making after market direct injected heads that decrease CR to 18:1 leaving the bottom of the motor alone? I guess then the IP issue would need to be addressed as well. Heads would probably cost so much it wouldn't be worthwhile though.

Can't get the clutch to slip at all. In 4x4 low 1st the brakes won't hold the truck, anything higher kills the motor.
