More on Dexron VI from GM & the LS4 board...
It's not applicable to the 6.5L trucks but is worth noting that the Allison 1000 has very specific care and feeding instructions... Some use Dexron VI some do not. Look up the bulletins based on serial number and follow their reccomendations...
There is no such thing as Dexron III and hasn't been for nearly a decade. Anything that says Dexron III on the bottle is untested by GM. I run Dexron VI in my GM automatic transmissions. It's downward compatible and works just fine in the TH200R4, TH350, TH400, 4L60, 4L80, & TH700R4.

Yup. The BEW BRM etc PD engines and the newer CD engines need test equipment beyond a mere pop tester.
I have a MKV 05.5 Jetta PD TDI. Injectors will be real pricy when and if I need a set...
Nothing inexpensive like reworking the Bosch injectors for my GM 6.xL Detroits.

It might be worthwhile to look into reflective mylar faced bubble wrap. I've seen it used as a thermal duct covering for AC ducts. Duct tape it to all five hidden sides of the fridge.

There were short and long body 6.2L & 6.5L injectors so the pipes were different but the injector end fittings should be the same. Shorties went in the van chassis along with the intake mounted turbo... I believe.

I built a hydraulic bottle jack pop tester. Works great...
The GM Detroit AMG 6.xL engines use Bosch injectors similar to the 1.5-1.9L VW IDI Diesels and some Mercedes Diesel engines.
Most of the Olds V8 diesels used Lucas poppet injectors.

It's those little fixits that make it worthwhile to do this kinda project.
I always thought sliding drawer tops to keep the siverware etc inside would be a worthy addition.

Echlin used to be pretty reasonable stuff. Right up there with Standard Motor. :(
Just curious.

Bosch type Mini ISO or Omron type ISO 280 relay?
SPDT or dual 87?
Bosch type Mini ISO Relays are 1" cubes with 1/4" terminals.
Omron Mini ISO 280 relays have 1/8" terminals.

Go to Rockauto.com catalog and drill down to your rigs fuel pump relay.
Looks like there were at least 5 different possible Delco relays for your truck.
From orbit on my S III.
The cap was below the taillight housing. I assume this is a 67-72 chassis with the smaller lights that don't wrap around the corner. That would be really really tight.

I have one HP DC7600 PC for the kids still running XP. I have Windows7 pro on my desktop and laptop for work.
Suse or Ubuntu Linux with Gnome desktop, Helix Banshee, Firefox, and Open Office is looking real good for that old PC. The only wrinkle is setting up SANE but it's a fully supported...
I saw pictures of a fill spout behind a hinged taillight on a squarebody.
The license plate fill has been done too but the bed crossmember was notched to clear it.

Compression ignition temp and atmospheric ignition temp are very different. As are liquid and finely atomized ignition temps... atomized diesel atmospheric ignition temp is 400 degrees C. LP and Natural Gas are actually more like 450 degrees C.
Atomized at atmospheric pressure... diesel...
These are mildly dangerous. I use mine outdoors with a small fan...
Indoors atomized fuel is an explosion hazard on par with an LP or NG leak.
Breathing it is very very bad.
Never ever get any part of you in the spray. You'll have to get it amputated.
I put the injector nozzle in a glass...
Marine grade is what the pressure treated stuff is commonly called and it's much better than untreated for water exposed areas. I know it's used for transit coach floors.
The treatment chemicals are toxic stuff so wear breathing protection and cover your skin.
