I got my 94 running and I am dissappointed with its power, I am going to install 3-1/2" exhaust and then get a chip, I am thinking heath but I am not sold yet anyone have any experience with these that can help me decide. It is a 94 k1500 vin s with a non egr intake.
I still cant get my truck timed, I got a tech one for weekend ,Heath had me pull timing cover and check for sheared key wasnt that tried a known good pump no change, Bill heath said maybe a prom to pump mismatch? truck came as not running basket case with no history and lots of lousy repairs...
Any one know for sure If I can check pump timing drive gear in relation to cam and crank with just the water pump off. I have the pump gear and cam gear dot to dot with crank dampner lined up with timing pointer on front does that tell me 100% that there is no sheared key on the end of the cam...

I bought this truck half put together and I started it with intake off and solenoid on side of pump removed , it ran real loud as if it were pinging if you pushed down the lever down on pass of pump it runs real well and quiet with no smoke until you reach the end of its travel then it smokes...
