pmd sets those codes just went thru same problem but check all grounds and fuse box for corrosion on fuses also unplug all engine connecters and clean with tv tuner cleaner then put correct electical anti corrosive lube back on the connectors use very little dont goob it all almost forgot gm had...
the reason i asked i have seen them on 5.9 cummings. as a holley red pump is preset at 6 psi and alot more gpm seems like it might work on 6.5 the one on the cummings had a blue pump but it made 500 hp on dyno run .looks like kennedy diesel offer dmax lift pump now for the 6.5 i guess i ll try...
i understand you can line up all timing marks but where was the cam? on num 1 piston or num 6 piston powerstroke did you bring top dead center no 1 then looked at where the injecter pump was 6 or 12 o clock BEFORE changing the timing chain you need to make sure you was on num 1 piston power...
have you checked to see that your injecter pump gear is not 180 out it may be firing on num 6 piston did you bring top dead piston to num 1 piston when doing timing chain or num 6 piston top dead center that would cause crazy timing advance they will run 180 out and burn up some glow plugs...
