    hook up a scanner and look at misfires, should show current and history misfire... you want to look at the history #'s

    What oil to run in the 8.1?

    I've run 10w-30 Valvoline, 10w-30 castrol, 15w-40 rotella... all good at 80K The 8.1 is famous for oil consumption, most of it oil vapors because of the heat, full synthetic helps ,along with a 180* thermostat. I'm installing a 160 thermo along with EFI Live.... Let's see what the BB can do
