Me too. Like I say, there are no codes "that I know of" in the tuner etc. I should go by a dealer and have it checked for any codes with their big fancy scanner. Could be. Who knows lol.
Well. As I said, now, when it demands 21k, it will hold 21k. When it wants 22.5k it'll hold 22.5k. No engine light, no codes. Pulls like a train. Whatever the TPS tells it to do it will do. If it's indeed in engine protection mode, there will be "thresholds" on all parameters. I'd like to know...
Howdy yall. I bought my dream truck about 3 months ago. 01 Lb7 dually. Along with it, the dreaded "P0093" code, and limp mode mainly while going up a hill or towing. Lomg story short, after doing everything but injectors, "I was told they were done bot even a year ago" it STILL put me in limp...
Update. I put this wire on a switch on the dash where I can switch it on, in normal mode, I'd somthimg was to go wonky. But I run it with the switch off, with the circuit of that one wire disconnected. Baro sensor still reads, 13.8 to 14, and boost signal still works. With it off, the desired...
Lol, I appreciate your hospitality, and look forward to learning from yall. And by the way, no such thing as overdoing it on your truck lol..much respect.
Ok. I indone my previous work to show what wires, color etc. Switch broke also while disassembly lol, so I'm using connectors till I get another. Anyway, I just spliced that wire, made it longer where the sensor could stay plugged in, and I had the ability to break the circuit of that wire only...
I was thinking the wire I spliced would be the signal wire, but, with switch on or off the gauge still works and no codes....only different is the the rail pressure acts right. I'll go get some pics now. Thanks.
Ok..update..worked half the day, cane home had an idea. There are 3 wires to BARO sensor..found what I think is the 5 voltage hot, and the ground, and I spliced a long piece of wire into the 3rd wire "redish color" and put a toggle switch on that wire to cut the signal, or so I thought. Plugged...
Ok. Yes, the Lb7's are under the covers. I have kept a cloooose eye on the engine oil twice a day for 'making oil" where the fuel would be going into the head and to the engine oil. So far, so good. No fuel in oil at all.
What kind of mileage you guys get with those 6.5's? I LOVE the way they sound. Never drove one, bit they sound great. And the body style is awesome also. 👌
Yes, they are available, but,....lol....$$$$$$$..but I guess it's worth it with the price of newer trucks lol. I'd rather have this ole truck anyway. Love it.
Truck has 220k, and when I bought it 3 months ago, I was told injectors were just done 5k miles ago....but....I don't know what kind of injectors, or the quality of them. I've heard horror stories about reman injectors of certain brands.
I will post here everyday on anymore codes, problems or fixes, along with the result of the bottle test. I've read thru so many posts on this subject on many forums, but never seen a follow up on what was going on. I do know that Kennedy diesel has a program for these 01 models, where he tweaks...
Ok, I appreciate the heads up. Will DEFINITELY be on high alert ⚠️ and will follow protocol on "unloading" the pressure before injector testing. Thanks again yall.
