i STUMBLED AND BANGED MY HARD HEAD AGAINST THE CONCRETE WALKWAY ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO, BUT
THANKFULLY, I DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE ANY STITCHES OVER MY RIGHT EYE. FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKAS I COULD
HAVE WON THE UGLY CONTEST IF THERE WAS ONE.
EVEN WITH GOOD FUEL FLOW IT IS STILL A NO START WITH THE "WAIT TO...
This may be my final post. I have recovered enough to install the new lift pump and new filters with my son's help. We
established good fuel flow right on up thru the fuel filter.
I have cleared the fault P0381 twice, but it keeps coming back, and the Duramax does not make any effort to start...
my son installed the new lift pump last Saturday but found a leak in the input hose,
but it was too cold to continue in the 27 degree temperature.
I'll try to cut that part out and reconnect it. With my disgusting handicap, it takes
me forever to get anything done.
Well, I had a ministroke during the night of December 15th, and the recovery is very slow.
I have a new lift pump and new filters, but at this point in time, I am not sure when I will
get it in. My son has promised to help when he has time. My mobility leaves a lot to be desired.
I will post...
If we are talking about the engine driven fuel pump that is a real job to even get at. I'll look for the return line when the weather gets a little warmer. We have a beautiful frost this morning.
I hope this is my thread. Anyway, the new pump will not lift the diesel fuel from the floor
up to my work bench. I may have time to try this FAST assembly from a higher level today.
The filters look pretty good, but they were so tight that I put
a minor dent in both from squeezing them enough to get the
necessary grip. If the pump is good, I'll probably just order
two new ones.
I have no idea about these specs. I have the lift pump assembly here in my shed now,
and finally got the two filters off. I have to go to Ace hardware forenough parts to
rig up 12 VDC to run the pump momentarily in diesel fuel to see if it is good or bad.
I won't get all this done until next...
The mechanic with his $8,000 said no. My TOPDON scanner only cost about $400.
and I am still learning to use it. It shows glow plug problem, but that and the
right rear wheel speed sensor DTC should not keep it from starting.
