Tires have been on the truck since December, speedo reads 3 mph high at all speeds. Recalibrated VSS in December when regear was done. Just started about 2 weeks ago. I need to fix this soon as am driving to VA in a couple of weeks and am spoiled on cruise control! Also noticed that at low rpms...
Am showing a code 16 vss buffer fault. Also ABS light comes on at about 15 mph and goes back off when below 15 mph. Also no cruise control. What's the fix?
ok got it fixed, replaced starter and new bolts. Good thing for lifetime warranties. Had replaced it last summer too. Autozone. The new starter has a lot bigger body(diameter) than the old one. Starts like a champ now.
Ok my truck just did this for the second time in a week. The first time i stalled it while pulling my camper.....my fault. This time I stopped at a store. Both times it would crank over but not start. And both times i got somebody to pull me, and it started right up when i let out the clutch...
Oh and if you see black smoke from the exhaust while you are towing, you either need more boost(safe limit is 10-12), or new injectors. Diesels have nothing in common with gas engines, so forget the whole lean/rich theories. Diesels are throttle limited, gassers are air limited.
I have 3.42 gears in my CC Dually and I can't pull my 38' TT in OD. I pull in 4th (i have the manual not the auto) and it does great. To me it does even better than the 4.10's that came with the truck. But you have to realize than in OD with 3.42's you just don't have enough torque to try to...
I agree with KOJO.....I've seen this on my laptop with GMTD Tech.....if engine is higher than desired idle and no throttle is requested(i.e. foot off the gas pedal) then there is no fuel injected......0.....nada.....
Dave, I called these guys today. They remember you! I am shipping them out tomorrow, priority mail, and with the install kit, shipping both ways, and having them set to 155 bar, the total is $90.70! How awesome is that? Thank you very much for hooking me up! I owe you one! He even promised same...
thanks.....gee i didn't think about that.....anybody else have any USEFUL suggestions? I have called several shops and all they do is replace. I just want to get the pressure redone. I figured maybe some of the locals could help.
yes took box off and opened it. there is a metal shaft that directly connects to the flap and a plastic gear that surrounds that shaft. that gear was cracked. used superglue to fix it
