do you have any advice on how to verify if it is indeed coming from the Op or just the failed O-ring?
Clean it up and start her and see what happens I guess is the obvious?
thanks for bearing with my inexperience!
looks like I may have the glow plug relay figured out … the contacts in the...
Ok great let me do some more poking around & I will let you know what’s up!
seems as if the leak is from the OP as the fluid is within the connector housing But I will verify it’s not the other thing You mentioned.
luckily, I was able to fiddle with the wires and find power getting thru the...
That’s extremely helpful. Thanks for explaining it all. I was wondering if I’d be able to do it myself… to be honest I’ve tried to rebuild my turbo before & was unsuccessful. Thinking I may have better luck with this if I do my research and take time. I’ve contacted a local shop that rebuilds...
Hahaha man thank you. I’m not super keen on terminology / parts but that may be it. The truck runs still tho…& when I pull that sensor from the IP it shuts off … I wonder if it leaking there would throw off the ground and effect the whole GPR / charging system? Needs to be repaired regardless…...
So here’s the current update. Pulled the intake / turbo tube and can see that the top of my injection pump is leaking. Must have failed seal. This is flooding the sensor… could be on to something.. sucks I’ll have to repair the pump. Hope I don’t have to pull it all the way out :X
So I’ve noticed fiddling around under there that when I jingle the main harness wire where it splits for the crossover ECT … trips the GPR so I think I just have a short or something in the harness or coming out… Just gotta go through them all…
will also get the batts tested under load
But...
Hey y’all, hope you may be able to point me in a better direction.. here’s my current dilemma:
Driving on the Hwy last week and the battery light came on.. it worried me because I was just having these issues coming back from a big trip… Realized the 12v lug broke off the alternator and had...
Thankyou! This is A 2000 Chevy express 3500. LP won’t even kick on when I turn key on. Checked voltage at LP earlier and got nothing, going to double check but I think it strange
Hi guys, just posted in another category yesterday..
been chasing IP gremlins & stupidly replaced injection pump when I believe my issue lied in the PMD.
spent an hour trying to purge the lines yesterday & was going to go back at it today by removing the glow plugs.
Thing is, now my LP is not...
Still having issues. The main fuel harness only has 12v supplied to 4 pins out of the 20+... any ideas? LP was working yesterday... feeling stumped .. got to be electrical so chasing .. ugh ... in the photo holding the unhooked harness, my index finger indicates which row is getting voltage ...
Ok just an update- maybe you guys can help.
I have an older mechanic helping me currently.. we were going to try bleeding the lines when we realized we should check power to the IP solenoid.. it’s getting ~3.5v
however now the LP is not working.. hmm
