quick question: which fuse for inside "dome" lights ?

I would be more worried about all the noise a diesel makes, wouldn't that effect the stealthiness more? What turning down the dash lights, isn't there a click after you turn them down all the way to kill the dome light?

    severe drop in fuel milage

How about popping the cover off the rear and counting the number of teeth on the ring gear and number of teeth on the pinion. Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion. ie- 41 ring gear / 10 pinion = 4.10 gear ratio. Kind of a pain in keester way to do...

    Replacement turbo

This thread is awesome, kudos to all that contributed. Have a question though, is there going to be a limited time to get one of these kits. Also is having 3.5 exhaust a problem using this turbo?

    Flakey 6.5

Took the 6.5 to work this morning and I swear it feels like I can do 70mph easier. I guess a valid point would be if the IP was doing all the fuel pumping, it could have been starving all the time.

There is a mess of wires in that area, a lot not factory too. I will check the wire you talking about tomorrow, but somebody might have by passed it.

    Flakey 6.5

Found the problem, yea I checked the fuse. Using a test light, no power back to the pump with the jumper wire on the relay. Noticed the wires didn't look factory and traced them back up along the frame and then through the firewall to the fuse panel on the dash. Whoever owned the truck before...

    Flakey 6.5

New pump is in, I did the cross the wire trick on the relay and no dice. I cracked the "T" valve and nothing. The pump isn't showing any signs that its pumping. If I hold my hand on the relay for the fuel pump I can feel it click. Checking to see if I am getting voltage back to the pump now.

    Flakey 6.5

On my way to get lift pump, I crossed the wire on the relay panel and not a peep out of the lift pump.

I just changed the fuel filter, boy there was some nasty gunk in there. More like doing a oil change than fuel filter. Got it all cleaned out with some help from my Snap-on extra long needle nose pliers. But I think I found a problem.....lift pump (is it the one on the side rails?) I filled...

Update.... Still have an issue, I think the accelerator pedal is acting up. I give it throttle and it goes. I come to a light and go to give it pedal and nothing or sometimes I have to push way down on the pedal. If I let a couple times it returns to normal. I am going to rip the APP apart, I...

I only ordered a cable which I got today, Thanks for the quick shipping. I relocated the PMD front to the front bumper, already had a FSD heatsink so I got some silver thermal compound at Radio Shack to help with the heat transfer. Took it for about the 40 mile ride tonight and no issues...

    What regulates rear brakes?

By chance is there a proportioning valve that might have been affected after lifting the truck? I remember my old toyota had a rod that went from the rear axle up to a valve on the frame and as more weight was put in the bed it would apply more pressure to the rear brakes.

    Trans Cooler

If you can't locate the correct one, wouldn't one from like a hot rod shop work. Like a higher capacity aftermarket one.

    non-standard starter issue

I'm thinking same thing bolts are too long, with the weight of the starter resting against the heads of the bolts you wouldn't notice of the bolts where too long. One would think they are tight when they are actually bottoming out. Worth a look, would be cool if that was the problem and no...

    Flakey 6.5

Waiting for the new parts to come in, I was looking under the and what do ya know. There is a pmd still on the injection pump, guess previous owner didn't want to deal with the hassle off taken it off. It also picked up a filter and some power service as Rod requested, I good do a write up...

JiFaire Thanks for tips on mounting, have a question though, does the pmd need ground? Should I run a wire back to the battery as a ground wire?
