Who sells t I am now THAT much smarter!!! Thanks. Never been a fan of dealerships or brand new automobiles or anything that I can do myself or learn to do myself. That’s why I built my own house. Typically I buy used and fix, modify or restore items. Saves money and I find it satisfying to...

You guys are so great offering me advise and I really appreciate it. One thing though: I’m really new to diesel. Gonna need simpler explanations. X-2 ??? Cooling stack??? Electro viscous??? Sorry for my ignorance. The tranny discussion is another area I’m ignorant in. I can fab stuff like the...

Plenty of good advice there. You asked: what is the transmission control looking like. Honestly I know nothing about this. What do I need to know? I have an Onan gen that needs a new board but it’s super heavy. The Honda seems like a better way to go. I do plan on doing all the othe...

Yes please if you can direct me to it.d I had planned on using the extra fuel tank since I have two identical 30g tanks. Problem is it would need to go where the exhust runs unless I ran vertical stacks. Figured that would be too loud though. I might get a Super Duty tank which is perfect fit...

Thanks for the advise. I’ll purchase al the Leroy’s stuff you suggested as well as injectors and glows. Might as well do motor mounts from him as well. Since it’s a toy hauler/camper it will be a long while putting 100k miles on it so new stock balancer. Is a new pulley necessary? Are they...

Guys I have a couple other questions. 1: Do all 2001 6.5 have dual stats? 113k on fleet maintained engine. Runs great but since it’s out I thought I would replace water pump. 2: Who makes the best one? 3: Timing chain replacement? Yes/No? Geared or chain? Who makes the best one? 4: Oil...

Thanks for some great ideas. Now that you have a good idea of what I’m building and it’s usage, I’d like some feedback on which tuner upgrade would be best. Looks like I’ll have to have custom exhust since turbo is center mounted. Unless someone knows about an after market setup or kit.

My friend had one and it was impressive! Took his up ridiculous inclines. We did manage to tip her over on her side! I blame the beer! I might tow it. I’ve got the set up for it. If I thought it would save fuel.

Thanks for all the insight. Engine ran cool this summer when I bought it. Had a compression test run on it pre purchase and it had all good numbers. Temps were normal but I never really put much load on the rig. Only thing I could find wrong was a very little oil weep on the turbo cross over and...

Found some SS tubing on eBay in 5/16 and 3/8. planning on Leroy LP Carter. Should I use Flair or compression fittings. I have a single flair tool or I have a boat load of compression fittings. I like compression but what do you think? I have a million questions and I already highly respect...
