This is not true from what I understand. All of them have a checksum in them that a Tech 2 can see how many times it has been reflashed. Has to be a good tech though.
If you want to monkey with it, bring it home, pull the ECM and program another. Anything happens, put your stocker back in.;)

My brother just got an SC4 and 1058 for his LMM.
Our puller has an SC4+ and 1059.
All our trannies come from Bradyen. Done right the first time.

Just got a quote from the dealer for one of our company trucks that I am fighting. Its an 01 with 175k and 7 yrs, 5 months in service (:mad:). Needs injectors and a regulator. $6,066!
It is a jobsite truck that rarely tows and has never had a programmer on it.
Last is EFI Live ($750). This is for the guy who is a control freak and wants to be the best and always have that perfect tune. You make your own tunes, but the learning curve is very intense. Its not for everybody. At first youll need gauges. Then along the way youll find yourself completely...
My brother actually likes the tip so he kept it and painted it flat black to match his wheels. He also cut out the DPF, cat and muffler. If it were my truck I would buy a complete exhaust and keep the entire stocker in the corner ready to bolt back up for dealer visits.

The diff came apart and shattered the housing.:eyebrows: Never seen anybody break this before. Just speculating that it was hurt racing as he said he didn't leave very hard with the sled and it was almost instant. No hanging weight either. I think the boosted 4wd launches took a toll.
