So during teardown I noticed that the piston in number 5 was damaged and the cylinder has a little scoring, it does have a different glow plug so more than likely one or the other took each other out.
So the rebuild is on so with your help it should be a good one, so please give me your advice...

I have 4 different tstat housings, only two will fit with this serpentine setup, the other tsat housing will not fit with the breather/ fill tube and it points the water line straight up.
I plan on using the high flow water pump with the duel tstat housing.
With all the parts that I have collected the DB2s that I have are DB2829 with the rpm ranging 41XX to 47XX, the DB2 that came with this engine is a DB2301 with an rpm of 51XX, what do I need to know about these.
Is there any way to run cruse control with duel thermostats

I need to get the alternator on to make sure that there is room for the turbo, and from what you say about it that's probably why it won't turn.

The alternator Is just for mock up, it is the only one I have that will fit this bracket, will the cs144 fit and what output is it ?

im sure that the harmonic balancer was on the engine so that would make it post 2000, is there a way to tell...
I dressed it up with all the parts that I have been saving, what do you think, what should I change.
I still need to install a few more parts before I can disassemble for sandblasting and paint for the rebuild.
After I pull the pan I plan on dressing the engine with all the part's I've collected to see what I need.
