Update:
Well I feel like a dumb ass, but this just goes to show that you can never rule anything out when it comes to electrical problems without checking it first. The three way plug the allows you to put between the factory harness and plug in a trailer light harness was bad. I must eat crow...
Yes I'm familiar with Ohm's law and all of it's properties, but, correct me is I'm wrong, if there is no voltage measured then there will be no current flow. Current can only be measured in series and I don't have a set of alligator clips, so that is why I have not yet measured current (it can...
The LH light does not dim at all. It's operation looks to work just fine weather the RH bulb is in or not.
I've also been using my DVOM along with the test light to check voltage.
I have not yet checked current flow.
What I'm not understanding is why there is 12 volts at the bulb socket but...
Hooledup50: Can you link me to a thread on the upgrade your talking about?
what year do you get the sockets from and are the earlier lenses a simple bolt on upgrade?
No luck just yet.
I do have an update:
The higher ohm readings must have been an error on my end.
Tonight i tested the fact that the circuit board has 12 volts at the bulb socket. With the LH brake light on, the bulb out of the RH socket, and 12 volts on the dark green wire, as soon as the...
I'm out of ideas here can anybody please help. I've checked, checked, and rechecked and I cant seem to find out why only the passenger side brake light wont work.
I have four different circuit boards that I'm testing with, two LH (left hand) and two RH (right hand), all four work in the LH plug...
I'm using the drive train from my 93 GMC K2500 6.5LTD w/ NV4500(working on confirming that trans) to put into the donor truck that I got. The donor truck was a 90 Chevy K1500 z71 had a 5.7L V8 gas auto trans 4x4.
I was very happy because the trans cross member didn't need to be modded at all...
So there is a way for the fluids to mix. I was just curious because when I removed the drive shaft I was wandering if it was just t-case fluid or both.
Hi guys, looks like this thread might have a little dust on it.
Will this process work with a dry system?
I just replaced the lines, had the booster and reservoir out and cleaned up, so there is no fluid at all in the system now. Is there a different process for bleeding the air out to began...
I'm getting close to having the truck all back together and I'm trying to find out what trans/t-case I have, so that I can replace the fluids in them. So fare Ive found a lot of different info about what fluids to use and Ive also noticed that there is a lot of different fluids used I various...
I hope those are the only two cracks:rolleyes5:. I haven't turned the crank to expose whats hiding behind the counter weights, and I probably don't want too. There is no telling if this is the original HB. I do have a stack of faded repair receipts, from the previous owner, that i could look...
Well I was optimistic, but I have confirmed my worst fear. Today when I removed the oil pan, I found two cracks in the block :nonod: The first one is about an inch long (on the diver side first main web from the front of the block). The second is on the passenger side second main web from the...
Thanks WarWagon, So you're saying if I put on a complete new timing set, I should expect on adjusting the timing a couple times and this is done by moving the injection pump left or right? (Sorry if I sound like a complete newbie but I pretty much am) I've never been this far into the 6.5 motor...
Thank you all for the responses. I will be weighing my options and will cross that bridge when the time comes. If I go with the 6.2 pump I will be sure to update this thread.
Thanks!
Nate
Thank you for the warm welcome Matt. I will be putting plenty of pics up soon. I agree with you and scottm. The turned up 6.2 pump could bring the fuel delivery, up to, or close to stock and that would be fine under load, but will it supply enough fuel during start up? Right now that is the...
