sounds exactly like what my truck was doing awhile ago.... replaced with a delco part ordered from rockville auto online and fixed everything. Have to see if I can find those pics I took of it....
mods will make it love the load. My 2500HD is rated for 8600lbs, not sure the combined, but it pulled an 8000lb trailer without too many problems stock... except for mountains, then it stuggled a bit. Now I can cruise at 65-70 with the same trailer in the mountains.
got a new job, new place to live in the summer. been dealing with that, everything is finally settling down a little. Thought I'd go hunt for my homies.

Actually Tom, I'll let you in on a little secret. Run the new steel lines through the arms of the exhaust manifold for increased braking. You see, the extra heat is GREAT for brake lines, boiling brake fluid is awesome. Also, replace the rubber lines with coolant hose. It will give you that...
