I am trying to locate the remote control door lock receiver on my 1999 K2500. I need to due a voltage test on the “F” pin:
Some internet materials suggest the receiver is located under the dash on the right hand side of the steering column. I pulled two separate plugs there and they are not...
Rear barn door lock actuator no longer works, so I have a new one on order. Question is how to remove the existing? Actuator is bolted to a bracket using the 4 small bolts holding the actuator together. The bracket is rivet to the door. Should I try to remove the bolts holding it to the bracket...
As the title says the variable speed settings for the wipers is only producing low and high with no differentiation in speed between the two. Also, sometimes the wiper just fails to shut off for a long time. What part should I be looking to replace?
AC stopped working. Checked fuses on side of dash and they are good. The dash HVAC switch panel is new and has been working. The variable speed control was not ahowing much change between Low and Hi, but Hi was working full on.
Could this be the resistor going out?
After a weekend of off-roading and camping, I took the Suburban in for a revisit on alignment because it was steering to the left. The alignment tech confirmed some issues that I was seeing:
1) Outer tied rod on passenger side was loose (again) in the knuckle. Obviously I over did it with the...
As title says, schedule 40 pipe the OD is too small for the 4” inlet to the wye:
Did they sell adapters? Or do I need to buy 4” schedule 80 pipe. The 3” to 4” adapter over to the left has two different size ODs for 4”.
I need to grade a slope away from the house for code on drainage. I do not have an angle grader, but it would be impeded by AC and Water filters anyway. Suggestion was to screed it and roll it by hand. Also suggested that I install drain line first, then use the extra dirt to establish and...
I have a 1999 506 (April ‘99) long block which failed and seized due to loss of oil pressure from an oil cooler line that failed. Engine never over heated. It was replaced with a new Optimizer 6.5 last August. I need to get rid of it as we are starting construction on a second garage.
I would...
Oil pressure great, but not liking the white exhaust smoke and roughness on acceleration. Should be showing blowby test along with compression figures for each cylinder.
I replaced the OEM fitting that stabbed into the turbo intake boot because it was leaking. I installed a bulk head fitting in the boot, but it is still leaking at the inlet nipple. Eventually that inlet nipple will be connected to a the outlet of a CKO ProVent catch can. Truck has blowby and...
Worked on removing a section of chain link fence today. We have had no rain and the clay soil is super hard. Fence poles were breaking off at the concrete. Down to a live oak which has grown into the fencing. That sump ain’t budging and I tried the tractor and my ‘94 K2500 with a chain. Seem...
For my ‘99 K2500 Suburban, RockAuto shows Monroe steering stabilizers in two lengths: 26.688 inches extended length and 27.938 inches extended length. Which one should I get?
‘99 k2500 Suburban. GMT-800 front brake conversion with TSB proportioning valve. Rear drum brakes are new as of 4,000 miles ago. Rear brake pistons are the larger units from the 1 ton. ABS brakes generally do not work 99% of the time.
Left rear wheel will lock up before all the other wheels at...
