    Farming Thread:

i was going to suggest tie rod sleeves as a cheap fix. anybody else need a little rain? we've been around 90* for quite a while now and haven't had any rain for about a week. we could use a 1/2 inch to keep everything looking decent.

    Farming Thread:

those gvm's are junk! the co-op i used to work for bout a 4920 deere and a prowler at the same time. both with the 120' boom. the 120' boom on the prowler was the 1st one in the country from what we heard. it had all sorts of problems, the biggest being that the WHOLE BOOM FELL OFF IN THE MIDDLE...

What to look for on an LB7

i would ask if its ever been chipped/tuned. also, look on the passenger side exhaust manifold and look for a plug/ hole where a Pyro tube has been. other than that, buy 'em up, they're good trucks with good fuel mileage.

    muffler or straight pipe?

no muffler here. i haven't had one since about 3 days after i bought my truck. come to think of it.... i don't think a vehicle i own has a muffler...

    Removed Body Moulding

BERK, how long were your moldings on? i either have to paint mine or get them off of the truck, but since mine is 5 years old, i'm worried the paint underneath will be off color (not faded).

    Farming Thread:

holy shit! how many acres of sweet corn do you have? eventually i'd like to open a stand at my parents house. they have 13 acres there in prime location to catch all the townies. that's some serious man labor tho.

    Tractor Trannys

i don't like the skip shift in our 9330. whenever you push the clutch in coasting up to a stop sign, it will go into 1st gear if you slow down enough. i like our power quad range in the 7820 with the left hand reverser. but the powershift in the 4640 is pretty easy to run too. all of them have...

    Bio Diesel Prices - Confused

you can safely run a B5 blend year round in most places. i ran that all winter long and never had any problems. when it would get really cold around here (0* at night) i would treat each tank with some power service in the white bottle. the main reason for commercial bio being more expensive...

    Farming Thread:

i always use late season beans when i double crop. i like to give them as much time as possible to set as many pods as they can.

    Farming Thread:

we finished replanting today (soybeans). hopefully we can get to cutting wheat this weekend, but after tonights rain we might be delayed awhile. proly next week. should i plant some double-crop soybeans again this year?

    Another injector replacement

i was on ebay earlier today and found a set of "50 HP Injectors" for the duramax. if mine go out and for some odd reason they're not covered, i'm going to get the set from ebay, because they come with a three year unlimited miles warranty at least. i think they were around $1050 or so. that's...

    Will EFI Live?

i thought EFI live would do anything that a Tech II could do?

    Attention Crew Cab Sleeper Owners!

i was just going to ask about that. if the size is there, but the direct access to the drivers seat isn't, does removing the passenger seat for better access comply??

    Farming Thread:

if the silks are dark brown, the plant basically doesn't need anything above the ear anymore. more leaves help fill the ear and absorb sunlight, but i wouldn't worry about the tassel breaking off or getting damaged.
  17. busdriver75

    Farming Thread:

x2. the silks grow pretty quick until they are pollinated, so it takes a good amount of clipping to cause problems. just keep an eye on it. once the silks turn brown, there's no worry about clipping anymore, the kernels have been pollinated.

    Farming Thread:

if you put some P & K down earlier, i wouldn't worry about doing it now. just water. and watch for silk clipping when it starts putting ears on.

    New Truck/Trailer Electrical Plugs

the semi trucks have 7 pin round i believe, anything i would tow with my truck has 7 pin flat. i'm probably going to build a gooseneck thsi fall and it'll have 7 pin flat.

    Farm problem

did you tell them last year that you wanted to put snap beans out after sweet corn? if not, they're really not at fault for using something with that long of a rotational restriction. take some pictures so i can see what you've got for damage if you get a chance. what are the symptoms of the...
