    Which blade?

A friend of mine and i are looking into starting a joint venture together as well as running our own seperate businesses. We are looking into a very large housing developement to caretake. It is acually four developements but the plowing and sanding come together as one. We both have 2 GM trucks...

    new rig

Those are nice wheels and the pre-runner bar looks damn good too. The color of the truck is nice too. Show us some pics when it gets cleaned, the salt doesnt do it any justice.

    Time for gaskets.

Nick, i suspect you are correct. The truck i just got back has a build date of Oct 2005, i purchased it in Dec 2005. The other truck has been wrecked and the drivers door info sticker is missing. I will have the parts dept at the dealer run the Vin# for the build date but like you say it too is...

    Time for gaskets.

Your telling me. The techs at the dealer thought it was from the tuner which i run only on the tow tune now and has for the last 20-25k miles. But, the other truck i have now only had 34k on it when i picked it up and i am almost certain it did not have a tuner on it either so i am more inclined...

    Time for gaskets.

Well, it was 1 month and three days but i drove it home from the dealer this evening. Apparently GM has the head gaskets on some national back order, the dealer wasnt going to have the gaskets until mid April so the tech convinced the service advisor and GMPP into installing aftermarket head...

    ? about Prodigy

I towed my enclosed trailer this evening and of course it worked fine. I will have to wait until the roads are slick again and try the equipment trailer again. Any other time it has towed fine when loaded. Maybe it was a fluke thing??

    Cheap on gas?

Probably a repost, how cheap do you figure this is to plow with? Dont be drooling over them lights either Nick, they are one of a kind and can only be found on redneck vehicles.

I 1st had it on the 6.1 but switched it to the 6.3 setting when the brakes failed to work. The trailer tires were definitly still turning and i agree that the manual lever should overide the controller. It just baffles me that everything works fine on dry roads, it was the first time towing in...

Anyone Know Of Any Good 110v Gasless Welders?

I bought a Lincoln 140 mig, right now it is gasless but it came with regulator and gauges and i already have a tank. I can weld from sheet metal to 1/4" steel. I even welded the boom on my mini-ex and that has held for over a year now.

Oh i cranked the voltage up and held the lever right over and that didnt work either. I will be digging out the directions to see what they say too.

Today was the first time i have towed in the snow with this controller and so far i am not impressed. I adjusted the controller as usual and headed down the hill with about 8k behind me like any other day. I knew it was slippery so i had it in 4X4 and slowed it down a bit. Now, this controller...

    Your favorite hot rod.

Like my father i have always had a weakness for the 67-68 GT Fastback Mustangs and the 67-68 Mustang Shelby GT-500's which he had both of. I know where his 68 Shelby GT-500 is but the owner wont sell and the 67 GT Fastback was sold to a fella in Vermont so i watch all the car show for it pop up...

    possible head gaskets

My 06 LBZ was leaking at the right rear corner head on passenger side, mine actually blew the gasket out and cut a groove in the head. Engine sounded like it had an exhaust leak. It is getting new heads now. The other 06 LBZ that just bought i believe will need gaskets too as i can smell coolant...

    super plow

I really dont see it working that well anyway. How often have any of you been driving through 6"-8" of snow with your blade up and have the truck spinning/hopping as it hunts for traction? Imagine it trying to pull dead weight behind it. I am sure that in any large amount of snow or a heavy snow...

    Time for gaskets.

Nope :smile5: , i went over my expenses to see where i could pull money from. I over pay on all my credit cards as to keep them paid quicker if not paid off and i way over pay on my home equity loan so pulling a little from each of those lets me swing the other $400 a month. It may not be the...

(2/09/09) Do you support the President's stimulus bill?

He is just trying to throw money at the problem. Welfare or the rich are the only ones to benefit from it. And that is where he got his votes from. The working man wont benefit from this, we will only pay for it in the end.

    super plow

For the average Joe Smoe home owner maybe but i can see someone backing through a door with it or backing it out into the woods. For me, not happening. It wouldnt last 1 day, i am surprised i havent broken the HD fisher i have.
