    Wierd LMM problems

I dont know about the newer trucks with rain sensors but the older GM's that would intermittenly turn on the wipers and washers was usually the wiper module or a bad ground. In your case i would go with the module.

    rough running 454

I agree with a possible dist issue too. I have seen it in the past and a worn dist can cause some odd problems.

5-6 we come across a $350k first gen Camaro

The property he bought is right acrossed the road from his home. His home was only a couple years old when he bought it and he has an awesome view of the Gore MT ski area from his living room. The property he bought acrossed the road was 46 acres that has 5 building lots, all with views of the...

5-6 we come across a $350k first gen Camaro

A buddy of mine had a 67 SS 427/4spd hard top that was orange with white stripes. I talked him into selling it as well as his 37 Ford coupe with a 383 stroker/4spd muncie and buy some property acrossed from his home. This was about 8yrs ago. The property is now worth about 8 times more than he...

New camaro vs mustang vs challenger r/t

They were going to do that back in the late 90's but they found the Camaro was faster than the Vette so they pulled the engine back out. It would have been bad press for the Vette.

14 bolt leak - pinion seal?

If your that worried about it then go by the rotational torque with axles pulled, i personally have never worried about it when replacing the seal on something that old. I have even done this with new cars under warranty that had a different method of tightening the pinion. Chrysler 300c/Magnum...

    14 bolt semi floater...

I am guessing you dont want to change your lug pattern so this is why you are looking into the semi-floater? The semi-floater will hold up fine to 35's, you could probably bump up to 38's without any worry but it will be the front diff and c/v's that will crap out first now.

Head gasket problem - truth or fiction?

My coolant light came on about two days after driving it home from the dealer, i topped off the coolant and it has been fine since. The truck is a touch louder at idle than my othe LBZ but it also has alot more power too with the stock tune in. I drove it for a good 3 weeks with stock tune to be...

    Power Steering Pump Confirmation

X3 on this. It is easy to change the pump if you have the right tools. The new "not reman" pump most likely will not come with the pulley so a good puller will be required as not to damage yours when removing it. Be sure to line up the new pulley in the same location on the pump shaft to keep in...

Head gasket problem - truth or fiction?

The tech who worked on mine chose to pull the cab. He had the cab off and the engine tore down in one day so it was a quick procedure. What i liked about it was they left the cab in the air and the rest of the truck in the bay instead of moving it outdoors into the elements. He did a good job...

    22+mpg

I havent checked mine in some time but we are still running winter blend too. Diesel is still cut 35% with kero since temps are still cold.

Head gasket problem - truth or fiction?

I dont know about 3 different types of gaskets but the dealer ended up going with aftermarket on mine since GM gaskets are on some national back order. But i chose to have my truck covered by GMPP instead of OEM so this is why they could put the aftermarket gaskets on. I also got a rental...

    Big Turbos

"just read about that big motor........1,660 gallons of heavy fuel oil per hour." Just think of how many miles/hours that thing runs. Remember that when the fuel prices go back up and they blame the average joe smoe like you and i driving our fuel guzzling trucks.

    Which blade?

My friend is dead set on getting this blade for one of his trucks but i am still up in the air. The problem i see with it is pushing banks back or plowing that occasional unplowed driveway that hasnt been touched for 3-4 storms. The V-blade i could cut through the hardened snow enough to start...

Truck Cap ?'s Ford on a Chevy?

X2, you would have to measure the cap and your bed to see if they even come close.

    Time for gaskets.

If its still under the OEM 100k engine warranty i would have the dealer diag it and get the parts ordered. Otherwise you will be in the same boat i was in and be without a truck for a month :rolleyes5: .

    Which blade?

I beleive my friend said it was $5600 but he doesnt need the frame mounts so that should save him some coin. Hmmm, maybe i will have to look into this blade a little further. Since the electronics are the same i could always buy just a V-blade down the road so i more options for plowing.
