Anyone ever worked on a Buick Rendezvous?

Sorry i didnt see this sooner either but Yes, you can change that thermostat without pulling the pipe. Can be done in about 30 minutes after you have done it several times. I used to make good money on these when i was flat rate, same with intakes. I used to do car intakes in 2.5 hrs, vans took...

Stumbling/Stuttering/Hesitation -- Datamaster Readout link attached

Couple things to look for, what is your fuel pressure now? Did you change the fuel filter? Is the fuel pressure regulator ok or is it letting the gas dump back to the tank through the return line? Check the wiring to the coil, i have seen some of these wires get brittle and break off making an...

3/21/10 ObamaCare is here what do you think?

I hate it. This is going to cost us all, just when you might think we will get out of a recession they pull this stunt. This is going to drive up unemployment, more layoffs and cutbacks from big business and small business. Our economy is doomed. They will be after every ones retirement next...

had to pull out an 06 LBZ truck today with my sonoma...

Well, neither one of my trucks are worth a hoot in mud as far as i am concerned. The trucks are just too heavy. My RCLB has 285's on it in Cooper Discovery M/S flavor and even that hasnt helped much. My ECSB was loaded with firewood one day at a friends place in about 3-4" of mud, the pile just...

    07 Duramax Dually...

X2, i know the frames were different on the older trucks and the axles were different. I have noticed that both of my SRW LBZ's have two sets of spring pads on the axle, the inner pad is lower on the axle than the outer pad which leads me to believe is for a larger spring pack with the same ride...

    Tundra and 160 tune.

A buddy of mine has a Toyota crew cab that he has been bragging up wicked. He has even told me his truck can pull just as much as mine :rolleyes5:. I am yet to catch him on the highway to run him, i have my predator set at 85hp right now and the air filter is fresh. I still need to change the...

3/7/10 How many Diesels do you own?

I didnt realize we could count anything besides our trucks, ah who cares right? Anywho, i have 2 2006 LBZ's with 8' Fisher plows. One is an ECSB 4X4 and the other is a RCLB 4X4. I also have a Sumitomo 8k lb mini-ex for toying around the yard with and occasional use for the business.

Are you single or married? If so how long?

Well, legally i am still married "married for 4yrs" but seperated and almost finished with the divorce. I was engaged to my current girlfriend 10yrs ago but we parted ways, both getting married and divorced "well, almost" and are now back together. We have gotten engaged again and have no...

2/7/10 Nascar, Love it or Hate it?

I enjoy the older Nascar races where the car and the driver made a difference. Now all the cars are basically the same and the win is up to the driver. Do any of these cars resemble anything you see on the dealer lots? Do they run an engine made from the OEM manufacturer?

    2/21/10 Winches, who has them

I have a 3500lb winch on my car trailer, i have two Ramsey 8k winches that never made on my off road truck. One will be going on my equipment trailer and i am thinking of putting the second on my dump trailer.

    traded the 79 CJ5 for...

The pic doesnt show a whole lot but it looks like you may have a D-60 in the front of that. I am going by how the hub necks down to the locking hub and the size of the blur for the front diff. I myself would keep the transfer case in it until you have a problem with it. Even the chain drive...

    Half-Way...

I havent plowed since 1-18-10 and even then it was only an 1" or so on the ground. It poured rain on us last Monday and Tuesday so the sander got a workout on some driveways but due to the lack of snow/ice the rain washed alot of it away so i couldnt sand everything either. This season just...

i just picked up a FEIN Multimaster ...

I too have the Dremel version but it has crapped out already. I havent looked into the warranty yet but i havent even wore out the blades that it came with so it has little use on it. But i must also say it is a very handy tool to have and if it isnt warrantied then i will by another by Bosch.

    Exhaust rot

Thanks Nick. I know alot of guys around here who will inspect it but if memory serves me you dont need the muffler for inspection. You just need the emmisions devices in place and working. The muffler doesnt fall under the emmisions that i know of. The truck itself sounds alot better, its a...

    Exhaust rot

Well, the new exhaust is on and this time no muffler. I like the sound of it more without the muffler than with it on. Now i dont have to worry about the muffler rotting out either.

    Dana 60 steering question

I dont know much about about GM's but i dont see why the steering would be different. All my friend shave just swapped in the D-60 with no issues with steering. I do know that the leaf spring plate/sway bar connects are different between D-44 and D-60.
