Fuel and lubricants are two completely different animals, especially since the ULSD change. I do recommend a fuel additive, I do not recommend an additive for lubricating oil, trans or hydraulic fluid. Algae is definitely a concern with fuel system health.

As far as compatibility there is no issue, and additives are completely unnecessary.
