My vin number according to the GM service guy says I have 4.10 gears. While on the subject I have a 4 bolt fan and clutch and a serpentine belt. Why cant I just bolt on one of the more efficent fans to my clutch????? I think everyone is assumming I dont have a 4 bolt and serpentine belt...

Elec fan I think runs at slower rpm than the engine fan. This creats a slow down of the air movement caused by the elec fan. That was the way the deere tractor mechanic explained it to me n warned me it would hurt not help air movement at higher than idle rpms. Hey I am a cowboy, darn good one...
