Yep , 97 . Keep an eye on the brake codes when ordering parts . JD8 and JB8 makes a difference . Mine is a 91 Suburban which is technically a V 2500 squarebody . I also have an 86 CC dually and between the 2 it makes a difference when ordering brake parts .

MT1 is the code for the 4L80 trans . JB8 is your brake system code . It does make a difference as there are JB5 , 6 , 7 systems . GT5 is the rear axle code . L65 is for the 350 gas engine .

Make sure you put the small support back on the front of the starter . There is no way the starter falls out with this installed which means you didn't have one . My 6.2 has one stock bolt and an aftermarket bolt the next size up . Someone drilled out the starter housing and put the bigger bolt...

Y code is a bare bones DB2 non turbo engine . Reason I asked was sometimes the P vans are behind the trucks in tech . You really need to get a scanner on there , as others have stated . Are all the wires OK , especially the engine speed sensor ?

Ever think about running another coolant system for just the heater ? Heat exchanger for the heat source , engine coolant in one side and heater on the other side . Extra heater hose and water pump like the cooler for your turbo .
