Don't delete the ABS .

That's a 14 bolt GM rear not a Dana . Ring and pinion are replaced as sets . Would another pinion work ? Maybe , but I would expect a lot of noise and very low life .

There's a difference in terms of no start or no cranking . If the engine does not turn over , PMD is not even into play . Electrical current/voltage travels around the circumference of the individual strands of the starter/battery cables . Corrosion is a big deal and if that is present anywhere...

Do a voltage drop test on the starter cable . Check across the pos and neg battery terminals and at the starter . Should be close to the same voltage . Then have someone try to start the truck . If it really drops , you have a bad cable .

I don't think I would do that . The pump could then suck air if the pump is not below the oil . Some of the Moroso pumps had a small tab welded on the pickup which then went to one of the 4 pump bolts . Also , when using the ARP studs it is critical to use the assembly lube . Without the lube...

I had both at one time . No vacuum pump with no AC and the pump runs the trans . What about the military trucks with no AC ? Cable runs to the trans , lever takes the place of the vacuum mod or can .

One other thing , the bracket above is for the 700R4 . The other bracket Dubious mentioned in another thread is for a TH400 . The bent rod is an easy tell .

If Dubious doesn't buy it , I will .
