You need to check if there is a hole on the filter below the bleed valve to create flow from filter to valve? I heard some of the new filter does not have that hole so the bleed valve is just a decoration. LOL.

If there is no fuel at injectors, then the PMD or the whole IP is bad. OPS just controls the Lift Pump which carry the fuel from the tank to the Filter then to the IP, although on a 98, the relay suppose to do that with OPS is just a back up fail safe device. Yes, the Lift Pump can cause fuel...

In reality, on a 98, the OPS should NOT be a factor in operation of LP. However, a non ACDelco OPS may cause issues if it is the replacement. Any DTC? How is the fuel filter conditions? What is the temperature in your area?

If it is a Dually, then it is probably already good mpg? Try to get the foot off the fuel pedal. LOL!!! You cannot change the differential ratio gear to a lower ratio since it is a Dually and that is also expensive unless you can DIY.

Does it have a turbo?

Any DTC? On a 94, you need paper clip to read the code. Check the FFM for leaks which usually not making it to the ground? Check the hoses to and from the FFM?

Which the resistor is in the PMD installed/connected to IP now? #9 or #6?

Unfortunately, everybody who post about similar problem (in this forum or other forum) bought their IP from Pensacola Diesel. At any rate, if the truck is running good, IP is not a maintenance item where it needs to be replaced. Rebuild IP is not always the most reliable.

Where is the source of new IP?

Bosch is the maker of injectors for a lot of diesel engine. IIRC, the body is also made by Bosch originally. There is no way of knowing what ACDelco source their injectors nowadays. There are also different tiers of ACDelco: OE, Professional, etc. So we have to be careful when buying...

Buy the injectors and IP from a rebuilder or reputable supplier of 6.5L parts like Leroy or Quadstar, etc. Not your friendly neighborhood chained part store.

I think Leroy probably still sells cable for PMD extension. He made his own cable and have been doing it ever since he is a vendor for 6.5L. If the PMD is still inside the hood, relocate it outside the hood. Most put it in the bumper or in front of the radiator behind the grill. That location...
