Just recently I installed the new arp starter bolts on my 96 gmc with the 6.2.What a definite difference after installing these.The gm bolts don’t come close.This is my first time using these on the 6.2 but I have used arp starter bolts some 20yrs ago on my 5.7 diesel which I still have.

Armor all quick silver is great for getting the grime off aluminum wheels as well.I’ve used it a few times with great results over the years.

If I ever need to drop the tank on my 96 gmc I’ll definitely go the route you did with the wix filter.My sending unit still has the sock on the end of it.It was a brand new unit I installed in 2014.Both of my trucks still have the sock in the tank but functions okay so far.

Early this morning I removed the electric shift transfer case from my 96 gmc truck with the 6.2.The old transfer case is leaking in a few different places not to mention with the mileage it has it’s a ticking time bomb anyway. Tonight I installed a new electric shift motor that I purchased...

Thanks guys.I appreciate the reply.They snap in place nicely but I did read online they sometimes allow air leaks as well.I’ll just toss em in the toolbox.This is how my current setup looks without the fittings in place.

Thank you.I’ll definitely have to watch out for that.Maybe I should leave things the way I have them if that’s the case.

Did the fitting crack or break somehow?

Today fedex delivered the quick connect fittings I ordered from rockauto for the 7.3 electric lift pump I have on my 96 gmc truck.Currently I just have the 3/8 hose pushed over both ends of the lift pump with a couple fuel injection clamps but now I have the proper fittings to ensure reliability

I picked up a couple new spare stanadyne injectors for my 96 gmc truck.My current stanadyne injectors in this truck work just fine but I figure a couple new spares won’t go astray.These were $45 US each from eBay.

I see that badger diesel(kr_services)is still selling new Bosch 6.5 injectors on eBay.Also the pressure balanced sets are in another one of his listings.

OTC has a socket too for the 6.5 injectors.I think it’s part number 5060.

You can do it with the turbo still in place.Once the heat shield is removed upon the passenger side valve cover it’s not too bad of a job then.

$12,500….even for a package deal for two engines it’s still a boat load of cash.Nothing really fancy about it EDIT:I see the price is now $8500.So I guess that’s what he wants for one engine I’m assuming.

Nice find on the new DB2.I once found two new pencil DB2 pumps for our 5.7 diesel some 15 yrs ago.It was definitely wonderful to come across those.Definitely like finding a needle in a hay stack.

My spare 7.3 powerstroke lift pump arrived today from rockauto for my 96 gmc truck.I couldn’t lose for $103 delivered.

If that 6.2 has a 599 block then that crankshaft will be the same as what your 6.5 has because of the 1 piece seal design.A scat crank will work also if you go that route.

Definitely can’t beat npt fittings👍
