well I stand corrected. there are 2 wires, both come off the block on the firewall. one runs the headlighst,taillights and ecm power. the other is the IGN side. at the firewall connector the bottom right corner(looking from the front) is the headlights.halfway up the right side is the IGN wire

the glow plug controller gets it power from the alternator/battery wire. it's doubled up on the ALT stud.

IIRC it did mount to the same post as the main batter cable. I just routed mine straight to the battery itself. make sure you keep the fusible link on it. as for the wiring diagram I haven't got one, but have dealt with alot of it. EDIT: you should have 3 wires at the starter, a battery...

just thinking out loud here if the isolator failed, the DS would charge but the PS would just drain on each start. what controlled the isolator? are you checking both batteries for voltage or just one side?

why is there an isolator in there in the first place? the dual battery setup is to give you the extra power for staring. did you check the voltage with the truck off? if so what was it? last question. how good of shape are the belt/tensioner?

the later 6.2/6.5 setup doesn't have alot of wiring to it. IIRC there were 6 total. one IGN, light, temperature sensor in the head, ground. that the only ones i can remember.

did you get a set of DB2 injector lines? the ones from a DS4 have a different end on them.

:iagree: duct tape has save my butt more than once. I couldn't decide which was the best single tool. I can live with the powered hand tools but you gotta have the basic wrenches, screwdriver, ratchet/sockets and of course a BFH.
