Why is there no room? The cold air intake is where the old battery was. Can not mount it on the other side because the oil cooler is there.

Update. The turbo decided to leak oil into the intake and exhaust. I overhauled the turbo and decided to ceramic coat the turbine and the heat shield to keep the heat out of the center section. I also made the battery tray. The battery is going under the right side of the bed. I will be using...

Had to get a 95 ECM the old one was a 94.

Got correct ECM it now runs way better. I still need a new PMD.

I think that is the problem I will confirm when I get the right chip.

GM only has one chip for the 6.5 anymore it is BPAA. It is an automatic prom and I think it works with 5521 but I could not confirm that.

As far as the ECT temperature it is reading right on the data out of the ECM. I think NVW is on the right track on the prom being wrong. I will check at work tomorrow and see what GM can get for a prom.

NVW you might be right as I have no idea what pump was on the truck I got the ECM from. The chip just has BD Diesels part numbers on it. I did email BD Diesel and gave them the part number but they said they cant find any info about it. I do have the 4 letter code on the ECM case it self BJAX.

I was watching the temp out of the ECM not the gauge. I figured the ECT sensor was good since it goes to the correct water temp as I verified it with a thermometer.
