Its a similar product to plasti-dip, indeed! I am excited to see how long it will last. Its fun while it looks good, but if it can protect the original paint from salt and dirt for some years, thats my main goal. I do think the clear coat might help it live quite a bit longer.

I just did the vacuum pump delete a couple of days ago. I bought both sizes to be sure, and it looked like the 99,5” belt was the best although I think the 100” belt would work as well. I ordered them from rock auto: ac delco 6k995 Gates k061000

So I miiight have ****ed my turbo shaft trying to Get it out to service it.. 😳🔫 I can source a gm4 turbo Chess locally. Does anyone know if the shaft from a gm4 would fit in my gm8? cheers

I swapped two of them so I ended up having h4 bulb with low/high beam, and a set of hi beams in addition. That was bright!! So far I’m still happy with the anzos..and my lighting...

The other day I put an amp clamp meter on the positive from the alt to the battery while the truck was idling on veg oil. I measured roughly 70a with the high beams and my aux lights on as well as the vegtherm heater. Knowing that the sum of aux lighting and vegtherm makes 45a, it´s not much...

I have all ready upgraded all the battery cables with the ptsolution kit, so I have a 4awg wire to the alt. Do you think that would be enough, or would I need to upgrade further? In that case, it might be sufficient to settle for one of the 145a units that´s available..

I´ve been looking around, and then I came across this ad244 alt at amazon, rated 250A and rather cheep. Scary buy, or a bargain you guys think...

Just did my summer vacation - 800km on veg oil with no trouble! I am however worried about my alternator. I think it needs an upgrade. Changed my belt and charged it for three days, but I still saw low voltages(13,9 avg.) and flickering headlights. I could also see the lift pump pulsing more...
