The Liberty CRD uses the 545RFE.

Mine had the Trans " TSB fixes" done to it already when I bought it, and it's still slow to go into Reverse some mornings. Supposedly caused by the Drainback Valve in the Trans Filter.

As long as it's applied thick enough / correctly, you can leave it on forever. However, some recommend peeling it once a year and re-doing it. I wouldn't say it really scratches, but it'll get a "mark" about as easy as paint does.
