Looks like he sent you an oil pressure sender, a coolant sender from the drivers side head?. The wires are part of the pass. glow plug harness from what I see. They connect the 2 plugs that go through those heat shields

The battery is grounded to the Al. intake which is a good conductor.

Maybe this has more to do with the grounds on the back pass. side of the intake, or any grounds that affect the ecm which controls the glow system.

What shape are all your battery cables in? + and -, a loss in electrical current will reset the glow system until the first start.

I assume you meant glow plugs? This sounds like you have lost ground to battery, the first restart will not give you full glow cycle.

All I know Will is I get a lot of sludge in the centrifuge, so it does help. This truck gets about an hr. of run time each day, 30 mph max feeding cows. The centrifuge would likely work a lot better on a long run.

It's a 6.5 Will, the oil is always black. I've let it drain over night, put new oil in, start it and the oil is black. :D Probably about 40 psi when driving, 60 when cold

In 2 of my trucks which sit outside I use Shell T-6 0/40 year round. Almost instant oil pressure even at -30 C. my Duramax and my 98 6.5 will start at that temp not plugged in. The 6.5 is the better starter.
