Strawberries like raised beds, if you want to keep the birds away (Robbins), chicken wire or some other mesh is a must.

Trial and error, unless you bought a turbo master from Heath, he has a specified length for a specified boost. He would have used the same spring for them all. With a home built the spring is an unknown. Just give er hell and do as you said, make the adjustments.

If it's home built, a gauge will be needed to set the boost.

Interesting, I've used it before but always attributed any drop in mileage to winter fuel and warmup times here. You have a very different climate so that wouldn't be your issue

Not sure where your leak is coming from, but rebuild kits can be had. I rebuilt mine once, antifreeze got in the oil. Mine wasn't leaking, the bearings were bad.
